This job does entail encountering wild animals in many different environments. Also oftentimes the wildlife we are working with are on top of roofs, buildings, in attics, and other higher elevation areas. Therefore, you must be used to working at heights and not afraid of wild animals.
We also would recommend and be seeking individuals with a construction background and someone who is used to working safely on ladders. These are skills that will keep you safe and productive on the job.
Career Opportunities
1. Wildlife Technician
- Responsibilities include conducting property inspections, identifying wildlife issues, implementing exclusion solutions, and performing humane removal of critters such as bats, raccoons, squirrels, and birds.
- Requirements: Certification from NWCOA preferred, experience in wildlife control or pest management, strong problem-solving skills.
2. Customer Service Specialist
- Serve as the first point of contact for customers seeking help with wildlife issues. Provide information about our services, schedule inspections, and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Requirements: Excellent communication skills, customer service experience, and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
3. Operations Manager
- Oversee daily operations, ensure compliance with wildlife regulations, and manage team schedules and training.
